StudioPress removed the search box feature from the Genesis primary menu some time ago. It was part of something they called the Navigation Extras.
However sometimes, despite having a current version of the Genesis framework installed, you may find the Navigation Extras are still there!
It seems to depend on the contents of your WordPress database, and not just the version of the Genesis theme framework you’re running.
Navigation Extras by the way, include the search box, Twitter links and the Current date/time.
Most of that isn’t useful; the only Nav Extra I was ever interested in, was the search box.
Add A Search Box Using The Genesis Club Plugin
If Navigation Extras are missing for you, and therefore the ability to place a search box on your menu is missing, you can add it back using our Genesis Club Plugin.
